Morning Glory Milking Farm - CM Nacosta
I opened up “Morning Glory Milking Farm” expecting a certain type of book. A book of very little substance apart from repetitive bull-ball references, giant cocks and a few rutting jokes. What I found was very different. How can a book about a literal masturbation station for minotaurs (for Science! folks) be so wholesome? Well, C.M Nacosta has managed it. Her tagline on social media is “high heat, always sweet” and I couldn’t agree more. It’s almost sickly, but the heat tampers it down to make it well balanced and very enjoyable.
Our main character Violet is your typical smart, full of anxiety, had dreams but can’t get anywhere kind of gal. On seeing a job opening at Morning Glory Milking Farm, she “grabs the bull by the horns” and applies, hoping to change her circumstances. Amongst other clients there, she meets Rourke, the very handsome, very well endowed Minotaur. There is character growth but it is subtle. She escapes what she thought she wanted and discovered what really mattered to her. Not groundbreaking, not overly detailed but still there.
Rourke is written as “perfect man”™ , which is fine in shorter, sweeter books. In longer stories, I would probably get a bit frustrated and not in the fun way. He has no faults, a squeaky clean history, no drama and honestly, the only thing you could call a weakness is his sweet tooth, a literal dream daddy if you will. A gentleman in the streets and master in the sheets. He’s older, richer and has his shit together unlike Violet which I mean, if we’re going for fantasy, it’s absolutely acceptable. But I do like a problematic man.
What’s impressive is that I would call this a slow burn romance, despite the fact Violet is jerking off massive bull men left right and centre. There’s sizzling attraction but the relationship between our two main characters seems genuine, long lasting. When they finally get rid of those pesky clothes and get down to fuck, it’s good. Not the mind blowing, makes you want to jump the nearest warm body to you type of scenes , but still, satisfying. The type of sex scenes to make you google “Minotaur sex toys” then regret your search history.
All in all, Morning Glory Milking Farm is short, sweet and saucy. You find yourself falling in love with the immersive location of Cambric Creek and really really wish you could afford the property prices there. The characters, while not too deep, are fun, likable (shout out to Gilly the Vampire!) and I can’t even think of a character I would class as problematic. It’s all consensual, all fun, quite steamy and well written. Humour is soft and situational, and honestly, everything is just nice, even when Violet is desperately trying to deep throat a massive bull cock, gagging, then setting Rourke off as well. I feel that.
Would absolutely recommend picking this up. It would be perfect for a palette cleanser between heavier stuff, while still keeping the smut counter ticking over. A lighter page turner that could easily be read in a couple of hours.
Morning Glory Milking Farm? Would bother. I picked it up on Kindle Unlimited.
